OGBH - Search
I just did a search on OGBH in google - and it is on the first page - our very private Sister Blog. How many people search OGBH?? In case you ever lose our site in your favorites, its good to know that we made it to the first search page in google :-(
Won't be long now... this time next week, BJ and I will be sitting at the airport waiting to come back to hell - and Kathy will be driving home... Deb, where will you be? Eileen will be missing us all, and we will all have some wonderful memories.
Can't wait til we are all together.

Ut Oh - Not all roses anymore
I knew it was too good to last!! Robert got all mean on me a little while ago and yelled at me - that just bums me out, we were doing so good... its funny how you can be so happy as long as people are nice to you, but as soon as someone is mean, whamo, not so happy anymore. Attitudes are contagious and I need a shot of penicillin or something to ward off his ugly moods. Maybe one of those bubble bags.
Before, when I was happy, yesterday.... I got a raise at work. I thought I was going to get fired and they called me in and gave me a raise, everything was going so good. Now, I wonder if after I got yelled at, will the rest of my life turn to sh#t? We will see.

For Once in My Life - I have GOOD LUCK - I can't believe it... my planets are all aligned, life is good.
It is so hot here in Dallas. Our air conditioner stopped working last night - and it was misrable. Larry is supposed to come and fix it today - I sure hope he shows up!
The good news is - the pool is all painted and filled with water. We are still having problems with the pumps, but we are praying that they last through the season. Robert painted with genuine pool paint and it looks great, but it is very slippery, especially going down the steps into the water. Robert nearly broke his neck getting in yesterday. I warned him, yelling "watchout its slippery" as he was falling head over heels into the water. The water did break the fall - but it scared me to death.
I sold the Mazda to Carmax, which is great - Michael is now using the Trailblazer and Robert and I are loving our Amanti's - we feel truly blessed, driving around in luxury.
My puppies are doing good, they are fat and healthy. They turned 3 weeks old yesterday. I had a luncheon at my house yesterday and it turned out GREAT. My house looks wonderful - or maybe I should say "as good as it can get." I turned my dining room into my office and moved the dining room table by the back door so that you overlook the pool when you eat. It gives it a much nicer atmosphere. We cleaned out the spare room - what a chore. I had to reposition all of our stuff and I managed not to throw too much away. I bought the paint, its called Sanctuary Rose, its a flat pinkish mauve - I can't wait to paint. Last week I had all of the shelves in that room removed. I had some wall damage, but not too much. I was able to patch it all up, with the help of Michael.
THEN... I bought furniture on Craig's List. You wouldn't believe how nice my new furniture is - it is absolutely gorgeous. It all worked out so great. The people I bought it from lived about 2 miles from our house, they were an older couple who had an immaculate house, it looked like a model home. The furniture is probably 25 years old, all solid walnut - I mean solid - you can tell that it is high quality. I got a full size bed, the frame has pineapple posters (I love pineapple posters) - the posters are not high, its just a nice size for that room. A spotless clean mattress and box spring that looks really comfortable. Next, I got an armoir, its not that big, maybe 4 or 5 feet tall, and a matching night stand - all for the grand total of $400!! What a deal. The mattress and box spring would easily have cost that much and I probably would not have gotten the quality. All in all, my first Craig's List transaction was great! My furniture does not have a scratch on it - it is perfect and is going to look so good in the room. I will soon be ready for guests, sign up now - I know there is going to be a waiting list. I will take pictures once I have my room put together - ooooo its going to be nice.
What else.... I have so much going on, and for once in my life, its all GOOD. I know I am going to jinx myself, but the moons are aligned for me right now and its so exciting. Normally I feel like I have a black cloud over my head - and I'm sure it could rain on me at any time. But right now, its great having things go my way - I could learn to live this way forever.
Next good news... I was fretting over my upcoming flight to NJ because my plane leaves DFW at 5:30 AM - crap, I was freaking out over that - its like an hour drive to the airport, I always trigger the security alarm because of the metal in my hips, sometimes they have to do a female assist and that takes extra time - what time do I need to be at the airport. Robert Jones went to Canada a month or so ago and he got to the airport at 3:00 AM and he said it took 2 hours to get through security. Should I sleep at the airport - what if I miss my flight - oh my oh my.... Well, I love Priceline.com - so, I just went and bid on a 3-1/2 star hotel at the Airport for $50. My bid was accepted and I am staying at the Grand Sheridan out at DFW. I can park my car there for free... they will drive me to my gate and pick me up when I get back. I can go to the hotel right after work and then be at the airport the next morning - how great is that??
With all of my good luck, I should head over to Neimans - I bet they have a perfect dress for me to wear to the wedding on the last call rack, in just my size, that will make me look gorgeous!!

In just 3 weeks... OGBH
Let's get the party started, let's blog, share our thoughts, dreams and travel plans - I will start.
Leaving Dallas on Continental Airlines, departing at 5:40 AM (yikes) - change planes in Houston, get on Flight #CO408 at 7:50 AM - arrive in Newark at 12:28 pm
meet up with BJ at the baggage claim area
Kathy picks us up around 12:50 or so...
We take Memory Lane down to the shore - we want to stop in Dunellen, North Plainfield, Washington Rock (right??) - we get to OGBH around 5. This may change, as we will have a lot of traffic, so its up to Kathy if we do the Memory Lane.
I only plan on bringing my clothes and bare essentials, as I don't want to check luggage. I do plan on bringing one of my own pillows... Now, if we need stuff at the beach house, I can change these plans and check luggage. I could bring towels, blankets and sheets - but, Kathy said she had that covered for our bedroom. Kathy and I have the queen room with the balcony.
I figure we could shop for whatever personal items we may need, we could go to the Shop Rite and buy shampoo, etc.
What are everyone's thoughts... ?? Once we are in Ocean Gate, I am open to whatever you all want to do. Eileen invited us for a barbeque, we could start there...
Friday - maybe we could go to Seaside, or go to downtown Toms River and walk around - go to the library and see what changed, take a tour of Beachwood old houses. I would like to have some "special remembering" time - that the 5 of us could share. But, Eileen may need our help with the wedding. So, let's talk... Eileen, tell us more about the wedding, what are the plans? What time is the wedding?
One thing for sure, I am really looking forward to this vacation. Its been like forever since I've been on vacation without the old ball and chains (both of them - Robert & Michael) - I look forward to our Sister Time the most, and however we spend that time - will be precious to me.
Love you Guys!!
