In just 3 weeks... OGBH

Let's get the party started, let's blog, share our thoughts, dreams and travel plans - I will start.
Leaving Dallas on Continental Airlines, departing at 5:40 AM (yikes) - change planes in Houston, get on Flight #CO408 at 7:50 AM - arrive in Newark at 12:28 pm

meet up with BJ at the baggage claim area

Kathy picks us up around 12:50 or so...

We take Memory Lane down to the shore - we want to stop in Dunellen, North Plainfield, Washington Rock (right??) - we get to OGBH around 5. This may change, as we will have a lot of traffic, so its up to Kathy if we do the Memory Lane.

I only plan on bringing my clothes and bare essentials, as I don't want to check luggage. I do plan on bringing one of my own pillows... Now, if we need stuff at the beach house, I can change these plans and check luggage. I could bring towels, blankets and sheets - but, Kathy said she had that covered for our bedroom. Kathy and I have the queen room with the balcony.

I figure we could shop for whatever personal items we may need, we could go to the Shop Rite and buy shampoo, etc.

What are everyone's thoughts... ?? Once we are in Ocean Gate, I am open to whatever you all want to do. Eileen invited us for a barbeque, we could start there...

Friday - maybe we could go to Seaside, or go to downtown Toms River and walk around - go to the library and see what changed, take a tour of Beachwood old houses. I would like to have some "special remembering" time - that the 5 of us could share. But, Eileen may need our help with the wedding. So, let's talk... Eileen, tell us more about the wedding, what are the plans? What time is the wedding?

One thing for sure, I am really looking forward to this vacation. Its been like forever since I've been on vacation without the old ball and chains (both of them - Robert & Michael) - I look forward to our Sister Time the most, and however we spend that time - will be precious to me.

Love you Guys!!

I am so excited also. My travel plans are to leave my house at 5:30am and start driving south! I am hoping that i will not hit too much traffic as I will have to go thru some major cities - Hartford, CT, New Haven, CT, New York, etc. I plan to arrive at Newark Airport around noon. I will park and come into the terminal and meet you whereever we decide. I am not that familar with Newark but I did pick BJ up there once.

I love the memory lane idea. I think we should find a place to get some sandwiches to go and have a picnic at Washington Rock. We should be able to get down the shore by at least 7ish or before.

The rehersal dinner is Thurs nite and we can crash that (I got an ok on this from Eileen)

I can bring all the personal products, just tell me if you have a preference, I will also bring sheets, towels, and beach towels.

I'm excited, too! If you have a hair dryer - that would be great - Being that you have straight hair you probably don't have a hair straightener but if you have a curling iron...? that would be awesome, too. I have very unruly, ugly hair and I don't want to embarrass any of my beautiful sisters at the wedding.
I will be at the bar in the Newark airport because I arrive around 11. I will text you where I am in case you arrive before Mare Bare. I will meet Mare Bare's plane when it arrives.
I plan on bringing wuvvy pillow and hope I can get on the plane without having to check my bags because I also have to bring Mr. Heavy Breather (my breathing machine)and he is quite hefty.
Does anyone know if we are allowed to bring mascara and face makeup in our purses?
It won't be long!!!

I will bring the hair dryer and curling iron (no, I don't have a hair straightener - so sad!). I will also bring toothpaste, hairspray, soap, face soap, dish soap....

BJ - you can take a quart size baggie and fill it with your liquids - including face makeup etc - the bottles have to hold 4 oz or less.

What airline are you flying in on - if i arrive early i will meet you in the bar!

rehearsal dinner would be great if you guys come, emily has such fun ideas including a mad array of tissue paper puffs to dazzle the tent we're putting up in our back yard. we're borrowing tables and chairs to make a martha stewart extravaganza event!!! the food will be in the gazeebo, illuminated by beaded jars (like mags made for hanna) and adorned w/button flowers in excavated jars.
ahhhhh i am sweating w/partyphobia just thinking about it!!!
the wedding starts @3- i think i am free on friday? rob and teesh will be coming in so maybe an evening BBQ to welcome them ??!!folowed by an evening stroll on the beach to put our feet in the cool soft river water!!! ahhh troubles ,worries frets BE GONE !!!the sisses will be together and that always makes me feel the most normalest ever, just right..
peace and love,bean

Are curling irons and straightening irons prohibited in carryon luggage? I have the opposite of frizzy hair - I have Daddy's rat fur... but, I have a secret weapon... thank you Raquel!

I have no idea what to wear at the wedding... I will need to buy something, should I be looking for a flowery summer dress, or a cocktail dress??

I do love the idea of walking along the beach and putting our toes in the water. Eileen, the rehearsal dinner sounds GREAT, very nice. What kind of food are you serving? Are you and Emily doing all of the cooking? How many people are you expecting? It really will be fun.

The rehearsal extravaganza sounds like Martha herself would be jealous!!

I'm not sure what I am going to wear to the wedding but I'm leaning toward either a new red dress I bought and don't have shoes for or the dress I wore to Grace's Starry Night shower and I could wear the shoes I got for Hannas's wedding... Decisions, decisions...

It won't be long, yeah yeah...
